The LSU Board of Supervisors released an agenda Friday detailing proposed contract extensions and raises for LSU athletic coaches.
LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri is set to have his contract ended through the 2020 season, which will be his 14th season with the Tigers. His yearly $750,000 salary remains unchanged.
After leading the LSU softball team to the College World Series twice in the past four years, coach Beth Torina is slated to receive an extension through the 2018 season and will get a 25 percent pay increase, from $180,000 to $225,000.
A pair of women’s tennis coaches landed on the proposal, as Michael Sell was promoted to co-coach aside his wife and fourth-year coach Julia Sell. Michael will earn $115,000 a year, while Julia’s salary will be increased 4 percent to $125,000, and both contracts are signed through the 2018 season.
Men’s golf coach Chuck Winstead also received a contract extension through the 2018 season, along with a 9 percent pay raise to $240,000 a year.
The lone assistant coach on the agenda, assistant basketball coach David Patrick will earn $330,000 yearly, a 25 percent increase from $265,000.
