The LSU football team will host University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2017, assistant athletic director Verge Ausberry confirmed to The Daily Reveille.
The matchup with Chattanooga, which is an FCS schools, rounds out the Tigers’ non-conference schedule for 2017 and will be played on Sept. 9. It also includes the second game of a home-and-home series with Syracuse on Sept. 23 in Baton Rouge, a home game against Troy on Sept. 30 and a neutral-site game in Houston against BYU to open up the season on Sept. 2.
The Tigers will open up Southeastern Conference play on September 16, but the opponent has not been determined.
