Carrie Richardson-Heckard, 46, of Denham Springs was arrested Monday on charges of felony theft, according to a news release from Louisiana State Police.
It’s suspected that Richardson-Heckard committed the theft when she was treasurer of LSU Police Association, a position she held from 2006 to 2014. The felony theft amount is $1500.
According to the release, the state police’s investigation began in January 2015 when an audit was conducted by the LSU Police Association, during which it discovered a misappropriation of over $16,000. It was later found that Richardson-Heckard wrote and endorsed a check with a value of $1500.
