The No. 20 LSU football team is heading west this bowl season. The Tigers are set to face Texas Tech in the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl, the school announced Sunday afternoon.
The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8 pm on December 29th at NRG Stadium in Houston.
This is LSU’s first trip to the Texas Bowl, while the Red Raiders won the bowl in 2012, 34-31, against Minnesota. The Tigers opened their 2014 season in NRG Stadium, defeating Wisconsin, 28-24.
LSU will also open up the 2017 season in Houston against BYU.
