A memorial service for Keller Zibilich is scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Family and friends will gather at the church to remember the finance freshman and member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, who died Saturday, April 21. LSU Police Department investigated the incident as a suicide.
Director of Greek Life Angela Guillory remembered Ziblich fondly in an e-mail to The Daily Reveille.
“Keller was an outstanding young man. In his short time in Sigma Chi fraternity and the LSU Greek community as a freshman, he was pledge class president, received Sigma Chi’s Outstanding Pledge Award for fall 2011, was elected to the Interfraternity Council as Sigma Chi’s delegate for 2012, attended EMPOWER Greek leadership weekend this past spring and helped chair the IFC sponsored All Greek crawfish boil,” she wrote. “Needless to say these accomplishments speak well of his character, his leadership and his commitment to serve. Keller had many friends because he made sure you felt special about yourself. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to go out to his family and friends at LSU and in Georgia.”
Father Bob Stine and a Methodist minister will preside over tonight’s service.
