A plan to raise tuition at UNC system schools is now headed to state lawmakers after being approved by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.
The plan, which was officially approved this morning, calls for a tuition raise of roughly $400 for all UNC system schools. There are 16 campuses total that will be affected by this increase, including N.C. State.
This increase comes in lieu of a $414 million budget cut from state legislators last year.
