Straight into the news:
1. Apple confirms Oct. 23 Announcement
There’s a conference on the 23rd. Most likely, it’ll be about the iPad Mini.
And as Forrest Gump put it, “that’s all I have to say about that.”
Seriously. I’m tired of writing about a product that may or may not exist. In all likelihood, it does, but until we get some concrete details about it, consider this my final post about the ‘iPad Mini.’
2. GoPro Hero3
The latest version of GoPro’s uber-popular action camera has been revealed, making fans of point-of-view, slo-mo and wide-angle videos all happy inside.
Three versions exist: the $199 White, $299 Silver and $399 Black, the last of which can shoot 4K videos — a resolution usually found only on high-end cinema cameras. You won’t be recording the next Hollywood hit on it though. 4K resolution is capped at 15 frames per second on the camera.
All cameras come equipped with WiFi too, meaning you can live stream and upload your crazy adventures.
3. Google event: October 29
Not wanting to be left out of an already tech-packed October, Google sent out invites with the tagline “the playground is open” to various press organizations for an event in NYC.
What could we expect to see? I really have no idea. Rumors have been flying for everything from an LG Nexus phone to a Sony Nexus phone to a $99 Asus Nexus 7.
Basically, all we know is it might have “Nexus” in the title.
That’s all the news for this week! Make sure to check back October 23 for my rapid-reaction to Apple’s conference.
