The state has officially charged William Bouvay Jr., the man arrested for calling in a bomb threat to the University on Sept. 17, for reporting the fake threat.
The East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office filed the charge Thursday for communicating false information of a planned bombing on school property, according to The Advocate.
Bouvay, of 8224 Skysail Ave., could face up to 20 years in prison. He was also indicted by a grand jury on Sept. 20.
If convicted on all counts, Bouvay’s maximum sentence would be 30 years.
