I recently met up with Baton Rouge’s High Top Kicks before their performance at The Varsity Theatre 10/19/12 and got to chat with them for a few minutes. Show footage from their 10/19 show, as well as the Haunted Bass Massacre at Gameday Daquiris 10/20

 An incredibly lively set at The Varsity Theatre was packed with concert goers of incredible enthusiasm. While not headlining the event, High Top Kicks just about blew the roof off the place as the crowd sang along to their remixes of many a popular tune.

Their set the next night was ended abruptly by issues with law enforcement at Gameday Daquiris, but managed none the less to cover their audience in buckets of paint as dancers up front sprayed the crowd. If you’ve never been to a glow paint party, I would highly recommend glasses.
