The Women’s Center may see a new director next semester if one of the three candidates is selected to fill the position. Katrice Albert, vice provost of Equity, Diversity & Community Outreach, said on the EDCO Web site that the Women’s Center director search committee has invited three candidates to the University for on-campus interviews. The candidates include Erika Bowles, North Carolina State University residence director; Catherine Hopkins, University of Arkansas residence director; and Lisa Verrett, LSU doctorate student in educational leadership and research. Each candidate will be participating in a “community hour,” where students, faculty and staff are invited to meet each of the candidates. Each “community hour” will be held at the Women’s Center. Bowles will be there today from 3 to 4 p.m. Verrett will be there Tuesday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Hopkins will be there Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m.
