An apartment in the East Campus Apartments was burglarized around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, LSU Police Department officials confirmed.
Maj. Lawrence Rabalais, LSUPD spokesman, said no arrests have been made, and a police report detailing the incident is currently incomplete. Rabalais said a man entered the apartment and stole the victim’s laptop.
Rabalais said no weapons were involved and the incident is classified as a simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
Rabalais said the victim’s roommate heard the suspect in their apartment, and when she realized there was a robber in the apartment, she contacted the police. Rabalais said officers canvassed the area surrounding ECA, but no suspects were identified.
