The All-Southeastern Conference teams were announced Tuesday, and the hottest team in the country was left without a single representative.
The LSU baseball team, which has the nation’s longest winning streak at 16 games, did not have a player named to the All-SEC first or second teams.
Freshman catcher Micah Gibbs and senior pitcher Jared Bradford were the only two Tigers to garner any individual recognition.
Gibbs was named to the conference’s All-Freshman Team while Bradford was named to the All-Defensive Team.
Gibbs is batting .323 this season with 11 doubles and 29 RBIs. Bradford, who saw time as both a starter and reliever this season, has a 9-4 record with a 4.07 ERA.
LSU coach Paul Mainieri was shut out of any postseason accolades, as Georgia coach David Perno took home the SEC Coach of the Year award.
Perno led the Bulldogs to a 20-9-1 conference record this season.
