LSU freshman forward Storm Warren was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Warren averaged 7.5 points and nine rebounds in two games this weekend. LSU won both of those games, 77-45 against Alcorn State, and 91-60 against Northwestern State.
The Monroe native picked up his first career double-double against Alcorn State on Thursday. He also had four steals against the Braves and two more against the Demons.
The Tigers continue the LSU Invitational Friday at 7 p.m. against Centenary in the PMAC.
