Speedy wide receiver and former LSU commitment Rantavious Wooten changed his commitment from LSU to Georgia over the weekend after attending the Georgia-Vanderbilt game, according to Rivals.com.The 5-foot-10-inch, 160-pound receiver from Belle Glade, Fla., committed to the Tigers on Aug. 29 but recently had a change of heart and gave Georgia coach Mark Richt his commitment Sunday.”He has tremendous talent,” said Jesse Hester, Wooten’s high school coach. “The kid has no weakness as far as a football player. He’s not a big kid, but he has what it takes to be a complete player.”Wooten is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 25 prep wide receiver in the nation by Rivals.com. Wooten is the Bulldogs’ 16th commitment for the class of 2009 and their first committed receiver.Hester said Wooten told him he was visiting Georgia last Wednesday but did not know he switched his commitment to the Bulldogs.”He switched his commitment? That’s news to me,” Hester said. “I haven’t heard that [if] that’s the case. You kind of caught me by surprise with that one.”The decommitment leaves LSU with 16 verbal commitments of its own, including one wide receiver in four-star Kenny Bell from Rayville. While the Tigers may have lost out on Wooten, LSU’s coaching staff is still recruiting a handful of premier receivers across the nation, including Bastrop’s Rueben Randle, the No. 2 overall player in the country and the top wide receiver in the nation, according to Rivals.com. Other wide receiver prospects LSU is recruiting include four-star prospect and No. 3 ranked wide receiver Andre Debose of Sanford, Fla. and four-star wide receiver Marlon Brown of Memphis, Tenn. Wooten and Debose are both expected to visit Tiger Stadium this weekend when No. 13 LSU hosts No. 7 Georgia.
