D’Ann Morris, interim director of the University Emergency Operations Center, said she is hopeful the “After-Action Report”— which focuses on the EOC’s responses to hurricanes Gustav and Ike — will be completed by Oct. 31.Morris originally said the report was going to be finished last week, but additional input from several University organizations has caused the process to take longer than expected.”Rather than focus on speed, we are focusing on accuracy and detail,” Morris said in an email to The Daily Reveille. Morris said the purpose of the report is to identify lessons learned, opportunities for improvements and other observations made during and after the hurricanes. ——Contact Kyle Bove and [email protected]
