MONROE, La. (AP) — Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee will speak at a fund raiser for Republican presidential candidate John McCain on October 26.
The fundraiser will be held at the Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant (SHOO’ drahnt). Huckabee is popular among Louisiana Republicans. He won 45 percent of Louisiana primary votes to McCain’s 41 percent even after McCain had wrapped up the GOP nomination.
Fifth District U.S. Representative Rodney Alexander will host the event.
