Louisiana drivers pay some of the lowest taxes on gas in the nation, according to a study released by Gasbuddy.com.
The study said state drivers pay an average of 38.4 cents per gallon in state taxes. The U.S. average is 49.4 cents per gallon.
The study found that Alaska drivers have the lowest state-tax burden at 26.4 cents per gallon, but drivers still pay more than $4 per gallon total.
