A simple robbery occurred Tuesday around 9:30 p.m. in the parking lot between Peabody Hall and the Indian Mounds.
Cassie LeBlanc, mass communication junior, said she was leaving the library to go to her car when a man pushed her against the car and twisted her right arm behind her.
Maj. Lawrence Rabalais, LSU Police Department spokesman, said the robber asked for LeBlanc’s wallet but was disappointed to find no money in it.
“I gave him my [Coach] purse, which had my cell phone and my camera in it, but he didn’t take that,” LeBlanc said.
She said the robber saw textbooks in the front seat and took them.
“[He] pushed me a little harder against the car and took off running,” LeBlanc said.
Rabalais said LeBlanc came into the police station to fill out a report around 10:30 p.m. – an hour after the incident happened.
LeBlanc said she was unable to call the police because her cell phone was dead and went home to charge it and ask her mom what to do.
LeBlanc said she did not sustain any injuries during her contact with the robber.
