IN GOOD HANDS LSU will try something different for the game against Mississippi State University this weekend. For the first time ever a field goal net will be installed behind the goal post near the student section. The net is sponsored by Allstate and is one of many nets implemented by Allstate throughout college football in its field goal net program. Allstate will donate $300 to the LSU general scholarship fund for every field goal the Tigers make at home and $100 for every extra point successfully completed. Allstate will also donate $10,000 to the LSU general scholarship fund for the right to raise the net. LSU is one of 54 schools which participate in the program. The program is in its second year.
