Tulane arrived Saturday at Tiger Stadium one week after a victory on the road against Mississippi State.
But No. 10 LSU (3-1, 0-1 SEC) would not let Tulane win two straight games against Southeastern Conference opponents and defeated the Green Wave 49-7.
The Tigers’ defense continued its dominant play by holding Tulane to a lone touchdown late in the fourth quarter when both teams’ starters were not playing.
The LSU offense took control of the game early and often, scoring 14 points in the first three quarters and seven in the fourth quarter.
