Course scheduling for fall 2025 has begun, but the process looked a little different than before.
Earlier this year, the university announced it would be transitioning away from myLSU—the platform students have long used to schedule classes—and moving to Workday.
As scheduling for Fall 2025 began, students encountered this new system for the first time.
The change is part of a broader statewide initiative, with Workday set to be fully implemented across all LSU campuses by the start of the fall semester.
Student reactions to the switch have been mixed. While some appreciate the updated features, others have found it difficult to switch from myLSU.
Among the reviews is LSU student Morgan Cook, who has a mixed opinion on the new Workday process.
“I scheduled yesterday. I definitely see the benefits of a workday but I definitely like the old program we used before because it was easier for me to see my schedule, ” Cook explained.
In response to the transition, the university is encouraging students to familiarize themselves with Workday and reach out for support.
