Jay Moore, director of Students on Target, announced the 2007 line up for Groovin on the Grounds during the Student Senate Meeting Wednesday night.
Chevelle, a chicago-based band, will head line the event on April 20. In 2002 Chevelle went platinum after the release of “Wonder What’s Next,” according to a news release.
The event will open with Fay Wray, a New Orleans band, who won the 2006 LSU Battle of the Bands.
Marc Broussard, from Carencro, La., will also play. Broussard has performed in the past with musical icons including Dave Matthews Band and Willie Nelson.
Moore said there is money in the budget for a fourth act if the appropriate offer is made.
