The University announced the hiring of Van Chancellor as the head coach of the LSU women’s basketball team at a Wednesday afternoon press conference.
Chancellor, a four time WNBA championship coach, said he intends for this to be his last stop in coaching.
The former Ole Miss women’s basketball coach said he does not plan to change the Lady Tigers’ system much. Chancellor said he does plan to improve the team’s free throw shooting and will make players able to execute under pressure.
