University finance senior Michael Blake Tucker died Tuesday night from injuries suffered in a one-vehicle traffic crash on Highland Road, according to a Baton Rouge Police Department news release.
He was 23.
Tucker was the front-seat passenger along with the driver, University alumnus Jack Walker.
Walker, 25, lost control of his 2001 Chevrolet Corvette in a curve around the 7800 block of Highland Road around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Tucker was pronounced dead around 7 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
The crash is still under investigation though speeding is suspected with charges pending.
