Southeastern Conference officials announced Sunday that CBS will televise the LSU vs. South Carolina matchup this Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Earlier this week, CBS exercised its six-day window option for selecting which SEC game it would televise this weekend.
The network’s other choice for its 2:30 p.m. time slot was the Georgia vs. Alabama matchup. ESPN will now televise that game Saturday at 6:45 p.m.
The Tigers (3-0, 1-0) are ranked No. 2 in the most recent Associated Press poll, which was released Sunday morning. South Carolina (3-0, 1-0) moved up five spots in the latest poll, jumping from No. 17 to No. 12.
The No. 12 ranking is the highest for the Gamecocks since they were ranked in the same position October 2001. LSU and South Carolina have not faced each other since the 2003 season, when the Tigers defeated the Gamecocks 33-7 in Columbia, S.C.
