As the voice of students on this campus, The Daily Reveille has always strived to be an outlet for discussion about important issues affecting the University and all who are affected by it. While the opinions expressed on this page, by definition, cannot always satisfy readers, we feel it necessary to include balance and opposing perspectives in any legitimate debate.
The best way for you as a student to have your voice heard is to submit a letter to the editor. We will make every effort to print any and all letters that contribute to substantive debate on the issues we cover. If you feel that your perspective has not been properly presented, it is your obligation as an informed citizen to supply the missing opinion.
Students, faculty, staff or alumni, as well as community residents, can make their voice heard by submitting a letter on our Web site, www.lsureveille.com, sending an e-mail to a columnist or the editor, or via hand delivery to The Daily Reveille newsroom in the basement of Hodges Hall. All letters should be 400 words or shorter.
Please feel free to make your opinion known. After all, silence is acceptance.
