After the state Subcommittee on Juvenile Confessions met for a conference in the University Law Center, panelists established the state’s laws about confessions of juveniles needed reform.Subcommittee Chair Stephen Dixon, an adjunct professor of LSU Law, asked for advice from the panel.The Subcommittee is discussing further steps for ensuring that confessions are “reliable enough for adjudication,” according to the Law Center news release.
