University archeologists and soil scientists will team up with scientists from the Louisiana State Division of Archaeology and the University of Louisiana at Monroe to research the Indian Mounds today.
The archaeologists and scientists will take soil cores from both mounds, and the soils will be analyzed using stratigraphic techniques and magnetic susceptibility readings to learn how and when the mounds were built.
