LSU senior Michael Venus and freshman Neal Skupski received Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America honors Friday.Venus earned honors for singles, and the pair earned honors together as a doubles team.Both earned automatic All-America honors based on their seedings in the NCAA tournament.A player can either enter the singles championship as a top-16 seed, reach the round of 16 or earn a top-20 spot in the final Campbell/ITA rankings to be named a singles All-American.A player must either enter the doubles championships as a top-8 seed, reach the quarterfinals or finish in the top-10 teams in the final ITA rankings to earn doubles All-American status.Venus finished No. 7 in the singles rankings, while the Tiger tandem finished No. 4 in the doubles rankings.On the women’s side of things, senior Megan Falcon finished No. 14 in the singles rankings, while the team of Falcon and senior Mykala Hedberg finished No. 19 in the doubles rankings.—-Contact The Daily Reveille sports staff at [email protected]
