Imagine that you ordered a pizza to be delivered to your house–only when you answer the door, you get Thai food instead. It’s unexpected, but delicious. That’s what the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ most recent album It’s Blitz! is like. Though the album has its more raw, straight-forward rock songs, it breaks open with the electro-dance single “Zero” and keeps the synths and electronic drums throughout. The stylistic departure is unexpected, but this album definitely delivers.
