Three University kinesiology students worked as interns with professional sports teams this semester.
Stephen Melancon interned with the National Football League’s New York Giants, Matt Rabalais interned for the NFL’s Houston Texans and Noritoshi Shirawaka interned with Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers, according to a University news release.
The LSU Athletic Department and Department of Kinesiology are collaborating to find internships, employment opportunities and networking for kinesiology students, the release states.
“LSU provides the education background needed to be able to take information given and apply it in real-world settings,” Melancon said in the release.
