David “D-Lo” Losavio is an LSU senior with a remarkable gift to communicate through paintings.
“I’m not a talker. It’s how I communicate,” Losavio said. “I’ve never been good with words. I just like to create something positive the way I can.”
Losavio found another way to channel his energy after college baseball “fell through.”
His biggest inspirations for his artwork are musicians, sports and life in general.
He uses his paintings to send positive messages. He said he lets the colors and legends pictured in his art talk for him.
Losavio said he does not like to call himself an artist, or his craft a job. He just calls it doing what he loves to do.
You can see more of Losavio’s art in LSU’s upcoming Student Art Show in the LSU Student Union Art Gallery.
