LSU engineering students developed a prototype of a futuristic transportation system called the “hyperloop” in order to compete in the national competition. The system involves a vacuum tunnel with a magnetic transportation pod. The hyperloop is able to travel up to 500 miles per hour, and could revolutionize the transportation industry. LSU hyperloop team will be competing this March in the national hyperloop development competition, and look forward to the future of this invention.
