As the final game of LSU’s regular season approaches, roomers continue to circulate about whether two of the Tigers’ star players, Derrius Guice and Arden Key, will stay for their final year or go into the NFL draft.
“First of all, we haven’t talked about it,” Head Coach Ed Orgeron said. “But, I assume that they’re going to go out like everyone else.”
Orgeron suspects that these two young men will join the many other LSU alumni that play in the National Football League. LSU has more active players in the NFL than any other college, with 51.
“Derrius and Arden are two ascending players,” Orgeron said. “If they do go out, then they are going to make a difference on someone else’s team in the NFL.”
Despite speculation, neither Guice nor Key have discussed their future plans with Coach Orgeron.
LSU will host the Texas A&M this Saturday, November 25 for their final game of the regular season.
