Following the LSU football team’s comeback win against Auburn, two Tigers earned SEC player of the week, the conference announced on Monday.
Sophomore linebacker Devin White was named the defensive player for the second consecutive week and senior wide receiver D.J. Chark is the co-offensive player of the week.
White recorded a career high 15 tackles on Saturday, totaling 77 through seven games. He still leads the SEC in tackles and notched his fifth-straight game with double digit tackles.
On Saturday, Chark scored a touchdown on a 75-yard punt return and finished with 233 all purpose yards.
Chark’s punt return touchdown in the fourth quarter sparked the Tiger’s offense and led to a historic comeback win in Tiger Stadium.
Chark led all of LSU’s receivers with five receptions for 150 yards.
The Tigers will travel to Oxford, Mississippi, this weekend to take on unranked Ole Miss.
