LSU may have been off this weekend, but it did not stop the Tigers from rising in both the AP and Coaches polls.
Four teams ranked slightly higher than LSU lost in a weekend that was filled with upsets. With eight, ranked teams losing, LSU rose to No. 19 in the AP poll and No. 20 in the Coaches poll.
LSU is also expected to be ranked in this season’s first College Football Playoff poll when it is released on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
The Tigers will be back on the field Nov. 4, when they travel to Tuscaloosa to face off against the consensus No. 1 Alabama.
