Senior quarterback Danny Etling took a big hit in the second quarter that left him on the ground.
Etling had overthrown a pass to receiver Stephen Sullivan in the end zone, when a Troy defender crushed Etling in his stomach and chest area.
After the trainers attended to Etling, he ran off the field and shook coach Ed Orgeron’s hand.
Orgeron told the LSU radio show during half time that freshman Myles Brennan will play in the second half because Etling is still shaken up from the hit.
Brennan has played in three games this season throwing 6-for-11 and one interception.
