The family of missing student Michael Nickelotte, Jr. held a press conference Friday asking the University community for help finding him.
His father, Michael Nickelotte, Sr., said they’re grateful for the efforts of the University and LSUPD, who have been looking for his son since he went missing on Sept. 18. Nickelotte, Sr. asked for members of the community to perform searches of property around campus and report anything out of the ordinary to the police. They also asked business owners to review any security footage from Sept. 18 and to look for Nickelotte, Jr. on the tapes.
The family said his bright green bike is also missing.
“[The bike] is about five years old so there is some wear and tear,” Nickelotte, Sr. said.
The family members asked that their message remain clear — they want Michael back and believe he is missing and alive.
“If anyone knows anything please come forward, and Michael if you’re seeing this please come home,” Michael Nickelotte Sr. said.
