LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron announced Tuesday that senior Danny Etling would start in LSU’s season-opener against BYU. 
On Wednesday, Etling couldn’t hide his joy at being names the starter.
“It’s definitely been a long road of college football for me,” Etling said, “but to have that, to be the starting quarterback for LSU is a tremendous feeling.”
“I’m gonna do my best to prepare for every single game, and make sure that I’ll be out there performing well for our team.”
LSU’s season-opener against BYU kicks off at 8:30ET on September 2 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
