The unranked Lady Tigers struggled against the No. 5 ranked South Carolina Gamecocks in Sunday’s game at the PMAC with a 84-61 loss.
LSU had a great start winning the tip-off and taking it right to the basket. The momentum carried the Tigers to 16 points until things took a turn for the worse when fouls piled up and South Carolina took advantage, shooting for an impressive 21-26 attempts from the free-throw line.
LSU players Raigyne Moncrief and Chloe Jackson scored 37 of the Tiger’s 61 points.
The Tigers now sit at 3-2 in conference play and 14-4 overall.
LSU’s next game is against Kentucky on Thursday in the PMAC. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm central time.
