LSU is set to play in the Citrus Bowl for the second consecutive season.
No. 17 LSU will face No. 14 Notre Dame on Jan. 1 in Orlando, Florida, at Camping World Stadium. This will be the Tigers’ fifth appearance in the Citrus Bowl.
This is also the fourth bowl game meeting between the Tigers and the Irish. Notre Dame, like LSU, finished the regular season 9-3. Notre Dame’s three losses came to teams that all finished within the top 15: Georgia, Miami and Stanford.
The last time LSU and Notre Dame faced off was in 2014 in the Music City Bowl where the Irish came out on top 31-28.
Kickoff is set for noon and the game will be televised on ABC.
