Grade: C
“Fission,” Film School’s most recent development, encompasses a range of sounds that take the listener across nearly 10 years of the band’s legacy in a matter of a few songs. Although the description might sound diverse and satisfying, the album doesn’t do much for the listener with a lack of cohesion in the mostly mediocre songs. There are a couple tracks worth a listen, including “Heart Full of Pentagons” and “Direct,” but overall, the album is pretty lifeless.
