Each year at Southeastern Conference Media Days the media submits its ballots for preseason All-SEC and the projected conference finish.
The Tigers are projected to finish second in the Western Division behind Alabama, who has 253 of the 260 first place votes to LSU’s five. LSU also gained three votes to win the entire SEC ranking third behind Alabama and Georgia.
The media is also high multiple LSU players. Junior center Lloyd Cushenberry, senior defensive end Rashard Lawrence and junior safety Grant Delpit were all named to First Team All-SEC.
Senior cornerback Kristian Fulton and senior guard Damien Lewis were named to the second team while senior quarterback Joe Burrow, junior receiver Justin Jefferson and junior linebacker Jacob Phillips were named to third team.
The eight All-SEC players ranks third behind Alabama and Georgia, respectively.
