LSU kicks off the 2018 season in 170 days. But who’s counting?
Coach O certainly is. The days are numbered to work on WR routes and red zone offense, issues O’s team struggled with in the 2017 season.
“We did some red zone, something that last spring we didn’t put in the red zone until next week,” said Coach O. “We’re doing a lot of research on red zone routes and red zone offense to improve. We made some great plays.”
Senior TE Foster Moreau scored a touchdown in the red zone at practice Thursday.
LSU’s red zone offense in the Citrus Bowl cost them the game against Notre Dame. The Tigers gave up three opportunities to score in the red zone against the Fighting Irish.
Coach O’s focus on his offense will be a necessary tool this spring.
