Freshman SP Ma’Khail Hilliard secured his seventh win of the season Saturday night as LSU defeated Tennessee 14-5 at The Box.
Hilliard pitched six innings, surrendering three runs on five hits.
After the game, Hilliard mentioned that he could probably pitch deeper into the game if he could pitch more efficiently.
“If I could place my pitches better I could probably go seven or eight,” Hilliard said.
The Tigers face the Volunteers in the final game of the weekend series Sunday at home at 4 p.m.
