Five were injured this morning, including four pedestrians and a driver, when a traffic accident at the corner of South Stadium Drive and Nicholson Drive pushed a car onto the sidewalk.
According to LSU spokesperson Ernie Ballard, the accident occurred around 9:15 and four of the victims were taken to the hospital.
A bystander told Tiger TV that he saw two of the victims lying on the ground, and that they appeared to be “moving, but not much.”
Ballard says that there will not be a press conference, but that he will provide updates as more information becomes available.
UPDATE 11:24 a.m.
Two of the pedestrians who were struck can be confirmed as Tiger TV employees.
They are both in the hospital and are in stable condition with injuries that are not serious.
UPDATE 11:35 a.m.
It has been verified that all four of the injured are LSU students.
UPDATE 1:26 p.m.
LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard has stated that the accident was caused by a two-vehicle collision, which caused one of the vehicles to collide with pedestrians standing on the southwest corner of Skip Bertman Dr. and Nicholson Hwy.
The four pedestrians were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All parties involved are LSU students. One of the drivers was issued traffic citations for failure to yield and careless operation.

Ballard says the person cited was 22-year-old Jodi Simone Reed of Houston, Texas.
