LSU will host Army on Oct. 21, 2023 in Tiger Stadium, according to a press released from the school on Tuesday.
It continues a string of future scheduling news over the past few weeks. Recently, LSU agreed to a two-game series with Florida State that puts games in New Orleans in 2022 and Orlando in 2023.
Two weeks ago, LSU agreed to a home-and-home series with Clemson in 2025 and 2026.
The news came on the heels of uproar of fans over neutral site games that took big-time opponents out of Tiger Stadium in recent years.
“Hosting Army at Tiger Stadium is an honor for us in any sport,” Alleva said in the press release. “We have the utmost respect for those cadets and their commitment to our nation’s freedom. Playing the Black Knights in Death Valley will be an unbelievable event for our fans and our players.”
It’ll be the second all-time meeting between the schools with the previous matchup occurring in 1931 in West Point, New York, that resulted in a 20-0 win for Army.
Besides Army and Clemson, LSU has deals in place to play Texas (2020), UCLA (2024), Oklahoma (2028), and Arizona State (2029) in Tiger Stadium.
