A balcony collapsed Wednesday night at the Coast & Environmental Sciences building. According to LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard, no one was injured.
A facility worker on site told TigerTV that the collapse was due to a water leakage, which rusted metal supports within the balcony. The weight of the water caused the balcony to fall.
He said that LSU expects to have the balcony repaired within the next few weeks.
CORRECTION: During our broadcast we stated that the incident occurred on Thursday, not Wednesday. We apologize for the error.
