Grade: B
The latest action flick from Jason Statham is exactly the over-the-top chaotic explosion that makes action fans feel warm and fuzzy. “The Mechanic” follows the story of an assassin out for vengeance, and cliche and worn as it might be, it does the job of keeping the audience interested between fight scenes. Statham plays the part well, considerably better than Charles Bronson, who starred in the original, and co-star Ben Foster delivers a satisfying performance as well. Overall, “The Mechanic” delivers a lot of action and a lot of fun.
