ABC’s new series “Off the Map” resembles the network’s other medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy,” the only difference being “Off the Map” is set in the remote South American jungle. While a creative concept, the show often veers into over- the-top, soap opera-esque drama. The dysfunctional main characters are likeable but ultimately unbelievable as doctors. While fans of other medical dramas will probably find it entertaining, the show is not as striking as its exotic setting.
